From the age of 3 Roxy has been singing, dancing and acting, attending classes at different stage schools such as Italia Conti. At 13, Roxy performed in musicals like ‘Annie’ and ‘Barnum’ in the Wimbledon Theatre with the Songtime Theatre Company.
Roxy has been one of Deborah’s students for many years and was one of the first students at Flipside Dance. Roxy left Flipside to take up her place on the Foundation Course in Theatre Arts at the East 15 Acting School which helped her to gain a place on the BA Acting Course at the Guildford School of Acting the following year. At GSA, Roxy performed numerous times at The Mill Theatre in Guildford in plays such as ‘Hard Feelings’ and ‘The Cabinet Minister’ where she took leading roles. Graduating this year 2011, Roxy has already worked as a professional actress in commercials for Walkers Crisps and Gatorade and featured in many short films such as ‘Locked Out’, ‘The Book of Death’ and ‘Wasted’ which was entered into the Cannes Film Festival. Roxy has also worked as an online presenter for some new websites and is enjoying her exciting start to her career in the acting industry.
Roxy is thrilled to be teaching at the Flipside Summer School this year and is looking forward to sharing everything she has learnt fresh out of Drama School and to show all the students how acting can really help us in dance.
