Lucy was born in Washington, DC and started dancing at the age of 3 at the McLean school of ballet and dance. Upon moving to England in 1996 she continued her dance training in Oxford and in 2002 was offered a place at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, graduating with Distinction in 2005. Since then, Lucy has been working as a freelance Contemporary dancer performing with companies and choreographers such as First Family productions, Opera Holland Park, LoCommotion Dance Company and Anya Ison Wallace Contemporary Ballet as a soloist.
Throughout her performing career, Lucy has always been involved in teaching. She teaches on the GCSE dance program at the East Oxford School of Ballet and also for Myra Tiffin Performing Arts School in Milton Keynes. Her previous teaching contracts include The West London School of Dance, National Youth Ballet – both outreach programs and summer school, Mortlake School of Dance and guest teaching at the Urdang Academy of Dance.
In 2007 Lucy also trained as a Pilates Instructor with Body Control Pilates and is now qualified in matwork and studio work. She has her own Pilates studio in Shoreditch, works twice a week for an osteopath in rehabilition and has her own private clients who she visits at their homes.
Continuing her own personal interest in science, movement and rehabilitation, Lucy is currently working towards a Masters in Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy.
